Mobility & Grants

To accelerate microbial food innovation and support the career development of our members, Mic2Food provides several crucial funding instruments:

Short Term Scientific Missions: These grants fund researchers to visit partner institutions across Europe for technical training and knowledge exchange.

Virtual Mobility Grants: To offer flexible and environmentally friendly collaboration options, these grants support remote teamwork, such as participating in online workshops, collaborative computational modelling, or preparing joint literature reviews

Conference Grants: We provide dedicated funding to encourage eligible researchers from Inclusiveness Target Countries to attend international conferences not directly organised by the COST Action

This COST action, entitled Accelerating Innovation and Development of European Microbial Foods (Mic2Food), aims to facilitate the development of new microbial foods for the European market. Mic2Food will create a unique network with a balanced geographic distribution to tackle scientific and technological challenges to make microbial food substitutes a reality.
